United Benefits

United Benefits is an independently owned insurance group providing benefits designed by Federal Employees for Federal Employees. Our main focus is to fill the voids of your current Federal Employee Benefit package. As a Federal Employee you are entitled to specially designed benefits through United Benefits that will insure that you are fully protected in those crucial years before and after retirement. Representatives came to our Richmond and Norfolk post of duty locations and they were received well. If you missed them or if they have not come to your location yet, you can visit their website for contact information.  Your main contact will be: Paul Thortan at 423-309-2768 and his email address is pthornton@unitedbenefitsonline.com.

If you are not currently an NTEU member, take a look through this section for information on the additional benefits of NTEU membership. When you are done, click on the link for an Application for NTEU Membership.

All NTEU members enjoy the basic benefits of a contract that features:

  • Alternative work schedules, fair evaluation and promotion procedures, training, and equal opportunity
  • An active voice on Capitol Hill, that fights for better pay and benefits, improved staffing, appropriations, and other employee concerns
  • And expert legal and job-site representation, that protects employee rights and fair treatment

NTEU also offers many extra benefits, only available to its members, that take advantage of low group rates, such as auto, professional liability, long-term care, and other forms of insurance, and discounts on consumer goods, moving expenses, vacations, and much more!
